Health Education Services (HES) offers health promotion programming and health communication materials for students. Students will prepare and deliver a professional presentation on their learning experiences within Practical Skills in Public Health I and II. Public health improves quality of life, extends life expectancy, reduces human suffering and saves resources over the long term.
Students study advanced epidemiologic methods used in surveillance, outbreak investigation, screening, and epidemiologic measures, and apply these methods to relevant public health issues. The course focuses on the various factors that influence health behavior, the impact on health and disease of populations, and the implications for health programming.

Admissions are currently suspended for the Master of Arts in Teaching (M.A.T.) and Master of Science in Teaching (M.S.T.) in Health Education. Article V: Responsibility in Research and Evaluation Health Educators contribute to the health of the population and to the profession through research and evaluation activities.
The program is grounded in the Responsibilities and Competencies for Certified Health Education Specialists (CHES) developed by the National Center for Health Education Credentialing, Inc. The lack of technical education is a biggest flaw in the educational policy that has never been focused before.
