Secondary Education degrees prepare students to teach at the junior and senior high school levels. It’s pretty clear that Biggs’ notion of constructive alignment owes more to the former (objectives) model of design than the latter, as do the many models of Instructional (Systems) Design aligned with the ADDIE approach familiar to instructional designers and those who have worked in distance education (see Dick & Carey’s Systems Approach, Esseff & Esseff’s Instructional Development Learning System (IDLS), and Romiszowki’s Instructional Systems Design (ISD), among others).
Examination malpractice is any illegal act committed by a student single handedly or in collaboration with others like fellow students, parents, teachers, supervisors, invigilators, printers and anybody or group of people before, during or after examination in order to obtain undeserved marks or grades.
For admission to the MTchgLn degree endorsed in Secondary Education, applicants must have an average grade of at least a B+ in the final year major subject requirements for a Level 7 bachelor’s degree (requiring papers worth at least 360 points) or in the course components for a postgraduate qualification; or acceptable alternative qualifications or experience (i.e. proven postgraduate study).
The main role of the Department is to formulate, monitor, and review National policies, laws and regulations, plans, programmes; provide technical guidance and support for advancement of Secondary Education, coordinate and oversee Government owned and Government aided Secondary Schools (including the partnering schools.) It is also responsible for formulation, development and review of the overall National policy on Secondary Education.
United States : high school (usually grades 9-12 but sometimes 10-12, it is also called senior high school) is always considered secondary education; junior high school or middle school (6-8, 7-8, 6-9, 7-9, or other variations) are sometimes considered secondary education.
