Complete an undergraduate degree, then earn a Master of Arts in Teaching and apply to become a licensed teacher. To earn the bachelor’s degree, students take a minimum of 15 education courses (40 credits). Students who successfully complete a prescribed program at the baccalaureate level in teacher education will be eligible for the Alabama Class B teacher certificate in their area(s) of specialization.

The Post Bachelor’s Teaching Certificate in Secondary Education (Grades 7-12) is designed for individuals who hold a bachelor’s degree and who seek to qualify for PA state teacher certification at the secondary level. The College of Education application form includes a section for applicants to provide contact information for 2 referees.
