The New Canaan Board of Education is pleased to be the bridge between our community and our school system. The Board’s responsibilities under Maine law also include: overseeing approval of school construction projects for receipt of state funds; administering federal funds awarded to Maine for career and technical education; establishing standards for teacher certification; approving educator preparation programs; and recommending institutions of higher education for degree-granting authority.
Trustees are required to uphold the implementation of any board resolution after it is passed by the board. Ø National and international examination board and organization should share information on new threats to examination security and procedures for counteracting malpractice.
Tremco specs were dropped in two roof jobs in the Dayton area after school officials had bid specifications rewritten to make the bidding more competitive. The Board employs the Superintendent to provide educational leadership and to implement policies and procedures through the administrative, teaching, and support staffs, and a Treasurer who serves as the District’s Chief Fiscal Officer.
In 1948, the Colorado State Constitution was amended to authorize an elected State Board of Education to provide general supervision of public schools, with powers and duties described throughout Title 22 of the Colorado Revised Statutes The first Colorado State Board of Education was elected in November 1950 and began its work in January 1951.
The business administrator, in conjunction with the board’s Operations Committee, prepares a preliminary budget that is approved by the entire board before being submitted to the county superintendent of schools. Lori Wagner, Webster, was appointed to the Board of Education in February 2016.
